Halloween at Sportsmans Warehouse

At Sportsmans Warehouse today a lot of the employees decided to dress up for Halloween. Here are a couple of the costumes:

Kyle as a camouflage monster.

Mike as some kind of long haired cowboy.

And finally me. I didn't bring a costume so the others decided that I should go to the clothing department and make due with some long johns, cowboy boots, and an Elmer Fudd hunting hat. The back of the Long johns have a trap door (easy access for mooning).

San Diego game postponed.

Due to the fires in Southern California the BYU/San Diego State football game this weekend has been postponed and rescheduled for December 1st.

Qualcomm stadium, where both SDSU and the San Diego Chargers play, is housing many of the evacuees. You can click on the links above for more information on both the game and the situation at Qualcomm Stadium.

Brianna's new job

Brianna has joined the dark side... Yes. She does look like Darth Vader with this gas mask on, but that's not what I was referring to. She's started working at the U of U hospital in the ER. She took this picture of herself when she was doing some kind of emergency training.

Eastern Washington vs. BYU

There's not a lot to say about Saturday's game against division two Eastern Washington. Brianna didn't go because she was sick and the weather was going to be bad (it was). Since Brianna wasn't there we didn't get any original pictures taken. With all of the snow the pictures probably wouldn't have turned out anyways.

We won 42-7. Next week San Diego... and no snow.

BYU vs. UNLV

The game Saturday versus UNLV was not like a normal road game. More than half of the crowd (more like two thirds) were BYU fans, so it felt as if it were a home game. On Fridays us managers go to the locker room to get everything set up. Below is a picture of the before and after shot.

(The changes aren't that dramatic, but it takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete a road locker room set up.)

The game went well. We could have played better, but we still won 24-14. We are now alone at the top of the Mountain West Conference and we hope to return to Vegas this December for the Vegas Bowl as MWC champions.

JW Marriott- Las Vegas

This weekend for our game against UNLV we stayed in the JW Marriott hotel just outside of Vegas. This is one of the best road trips we go on because the hotel is amazing. It's also nice to get away from the strip and the usual noise and distraction that Vegas brings. Here are a couple of pictures I took at the hotel.

BYU vs. New Mexico

Last Saturday we were in Albuquerque to play the University of New Mexico Lobos. The weather started out really rainy and windy but then it turned out pretty nice.

The UNM fans were awful. Their whole student body was chanting vulgarities or anti-Mormon slurs.

So it felt really good when we beat them 31-24. Next weekend we have a bye and then it's off to Vegas.
