Arizona vs. BYU

Saturday was BYU's first game of the season. They played the University of Arizona Wildcats. Brianna brought her parents with her. The game was a sell out so the stadium was really loud. BYU won the game 20-7. It was sweet revenge since they beat us last year.

This picture has been in the practice locker room all summer long counting down the days until the Arizona game.

Playing with the Hose

On Thursday, Spencer and I went to Riggs' home and brought our kids to play. We went to wish Jenny and John a happy anniversary and to wish Max a happy birthday. Max wasn't too impressed with our gift (gummy worms and ten dollars) but he assured us that he got what he wanted from his dad, Voltron toys. We also reminisced about how Spencer's dad Homely fell in love with me at Jenny and John's wedding reception seven years ago and ever since kept telling Spencer to date me. It only took him four years to figure it out...

So we played out in the back yard and the dogs had so much fun. The two of them attacked Max with kisses, which sent him into a dramatic crying episode, which vanished in a matter of minutes. The dogs had fun playing in the water. They like to drink it, and put their paws in it to cool off, and "dig" the water to cool off the rest of their bodies. Mia also likes to pounce on the water like a game of sorts. The kids also hunted the dogs with water guns.

It's kind of like the old one that we gave to everyone. We love our kids. And we look forward to puppies in the next three months.

Beckham's got nothin' on Brianna

Last night Brianna played in an indoor soccer league game. Her unit at the hospital has a team and they asked her to play. The name of the team is Shockatrauma (which stands for the ICU Shock Trauma unit). Her team lost in the last seconds 6-5, but Brianna played very well.

When Brianna came out of the game she would chat with her ICU buddies.

Owlz Game

Saturday night we went with the Riggs family to the Orem Owlz baseball game.

Bentley got to run out on the field with one of the Owlz players for the starting lineup and the national anthem. Bentley also got some autographs from some of the players.

We had a fun time hanging out with the Riggs family, even though Jonah didn't want to sit by us.

The Owlz ended up beating the Helena Brewers 10-2.

Like caged animals...

Brianna and I got sick of coming home to find all of our stuff ripped up or chewed on, so we decided to get cages for the dogs. We still take them to doggy day care if we are going to be gone for more than a couple of hours, but now if we have to go to the grocery store or if we want to go to a movie we can rest assured that our house is okay. The dogs go into the cages willingly and don't seem to mind them. Maybe Jenny could try this same approach with her kids... :)

Moose Dives

On Thursday we went swimming with the Riggs family. You can see the pictures Jenny took here . Jenny also filmed a couple of my dives off the diving board. You can see those here and here. Notice Brianna at the bottom of the picture turning away with disgust after each dive.

Spanish Fork Rodeo

Last night Brianna and I went to the Spanish Fork Rodeo. We got there pretty late, but it was still fun. The picture below shows a cowboy riding one of the bulls. Bri and I got dressed up like rodeo folk so that we'd fit in.
